Precautions:
1. Prior to conducting the titration experiments, a sealing test should be conducted with distilled water. It can be utilized only if there is no leakage.
2. During usage, acidic reagents should be employed with acidic burettes, and alkaline reagents with alkaline burettes. Mixing is strictly prohibited.
3. Before commencing the titration, the burette should be rinsed 1 to 3 times with the reagent to minimize errors.
4. After the completion of usage, the burette needs to be cleaned promptly to avoid the corrosion of the burette by the reagent that may impact its accuracy and to prevent the cross-influence of reagents between different experiments.
5. The burette must not be subjected to heating.
6. The operational temperature of the burette should be room temperature (20°C). It is recommended to operate in an environment as close to 20°C as possible. Temperature variations may induce changes in the liquid volume and the volume of the burette, influencing the measurement precision.
7. The burette should be held vertically during use; otherwise, inaccurate readings will be obtained.
8. The rubber tube of the alkaline burette can be replaced. After replacement, it should be rinsed with distilled water to avoid the impurities from the production process of the rubber tube affecting the experiment.
