Overview
The Gloss Meter is based on the principles of light reflection and refraction. It determines the glossiness of an object's surface by measuring the intensity of the reflected light. It is professionally used for surface glossiness testing of products such as paints, coatings, inks, plastics, papers, tiles, ceramics, stones, metals, and electroplated layers.

Precautions
1. The instrument has temperature compensation and allows for long-term calibration. It is recommended to calibrate it once a week. If there is a significant change in the ambient temperature, recalibration is necessary.
2. The test port of the instrument should be in close contact with the surface of the object being measured to prevent external light from entering.
3. After removing the base from the main unit, it should be stored in a clean place to avoid contamination of the standard plate.
4. Do not insert any objects into the instrument for cleaning, as this may damage the instrument, affect measurement accuracy and operational safety.
5. Before storage and use, both the instrument and the standard plate should be cleaned thoroughly. Use a clean dedicated lens cloth to remove contaminants. The surface of the standard plate is very precise, so ensure that the lens cloth has no fine particles or debris, otherwise it may damage the standard plate.
6. If there are multiple instruments, they must be calibrated in the base corresponding to their serial numbers.
7. When the battery of the instrument is empty, it should be charged in time.
8. If the instrument is not used for more than half a year, it should be charged regularly to prevent battery damage due to excessive discharge.
