Precautions:
1. Before use, ensure that there is liquid flowing through the suppressor to avoid idling, otherwise it may be damaged easily.
2. Carefully check the connection between the suppressor and the ion chromatography system to ensure that all interfaces are well sealed without leakage. At the same time, make sure the pipelines are unobstructed.
3. Before injection, the samples should be pretreated to remove heavy metals or organic solvents to prevent irreparable damage to the suppressor. Complex samples should be pre-treated appropriately before injection.
4. During operation, make sure the flow rate and pressure are within the recommended range to avoid damage to the suppressor caused by excessively high or low flow rate and pressure.
5. After analysis, it is advisable to flush the suppressor with deionized water for 5 to 10 minutes to remove residual inorganic salts. Especially when using carbonate eluent, if the machine is idle for more than one day, it is recommended to clean the suppressor and then remove it from the instrument, and seal it with a plug.
6. If the suppressor is not used for more than one week, it should be activated before use, which can be done by injecting an appropriate amount of deionized water. If it is not used for more than two weeks, it should be filled with water and sealed with a plug for storage. Before the next use, it should be activated by injecting water.
7. For long-term storage, to prevent the ion exchange membrane from dehydrating and being damaged, it is necessary to flush the suppressor with deionized water every two weeks or so for maintenance.
8. After continuous use for one week, reverse the polarity of the power supply connections to protect the suppressor.
