Anion Suppressor is a key device in ion chromatography analysis for enhancing detection sensitivity and selectivity, mainly used for the detection of anions.


Features:
1. Transforming the high-conductivity eluent into a low-conductivity weak acid or water significantly reduces the background conductivity, thereby enhancing the detection sensitivity.
2. Converting the cation of the analyte anion into H⁺ increases the conductivity signal of the transformed analyte ion, improving the detection sensitivity.
3. It has a high dynamic suppression capacity, capable of meeting the analysis requirements of samples with different concentrations.
4. The current range is wide with small increments, allowing for precise adjustment to accommodate different eluent concentrations and analytical conditions.
5. It is compatible with various brands and models of ion chromatographs.
6. It can withstand a certain degree of sample contamination, is not prone to clogging or damage, ensuring the stability and reliability of the analysis.
7. The design is compact, with a small volume, not taking up much space, and is convenient for installation and use.

Precautions:
1. Ensure that the anion suppressor is correctly and tightly connected to the ion chromatography system, including connections with the chromatographic column, pump, and detector, etc., to avoid leakage and affect the accuracy of the analysis results.
2. Before turning on the suppressor current, make sure that the mobile phase is flowing through the suppressor; otherwise, it may damage the suppressor.
3. Before using the instrument, check the entire flow path for air bubbles. If any are found, remove them before connecting the chromatographic column to prevent air bubbles from entering the column.
4. For complex samples, use a dedicated pretreatment column to remove organic substances or metal ions before injection to avoid contamination or damage to the suppressor.
5. Maintain a stable flow rate and avoid excessively high or low flow rates.
7. Turn on the current knob when the anion eluent is flowing and turn the current knob off before the anion detection is complete and the pump is turned off.
8. Long-term use of high-concentration eluents may damage the sensitive components inside the suppressor. Therefore, after the experiment, run the system with a lower concentration eluent to protect the suppressor.
9. To ensure the long-term stability of the suppressor, check and calibrate the system before use to ensure its performance meets the standards.
10. After analysis, clean the suppressor with ultrapure water or an appropriate cleaning solution to remove residual inorganic salts and other impurities.
11. Keep the suppressor moist. If it is not used for a long time, the micro-membrane may dehydrate.
12. Unused suppressors should be moistened with ultrapure water once a week for maintenance. For used suppressors, regular cleaning and maintenance should also be carried out. Depending on the usage frequency and contamination level, appropriate cleaning solutions can be selected for soaking or rinsing.
